bnsmith :
Maybe the Daleks met this Doctor in their past but his future. Time, what a concept.
If you haven`t seen it yet, wait for The Shakespeare Code (ep 3). I`m guessing this is a throw away "thread" that wont be followed up unless it`s by fan literiture.

I have seen ep3. I can not see which particular part of this episode you could referring to about?

The Doctor,Martha and Shakespeare are stood in the theatre when Queen Liz walks in. Instead of addressing Shakespeare she calls out "Doctor! My mortal enemy! Arrest him" or words to that effect. When Martha asks why he says "Dunno, I`ve never met her before. Well,..that`s time travel for you."

My mistake also. It was only the second episode.

I believe she said "Off with his head" rather than "Arrest him"

I think you are right. With a memory like that I`m surprised you forgot the incident; to me it was one of the highlights of the show. That scene actually got me thinking. Do you think it likely that the Doctor might have an adventure that has nothing to do with Creatures/monsters/ETs or whatever, and how might such an episode be received by popular rather than dedicated fandom?

A Doctor Who episode without customary papier mache and bubble wrap monster and a nice empty quarry or treatment plant -
That's dispicable
