Sounds like the usual UK media beat-up to me. The UK tabloids are notorious for making up stories. As if Prince Charles would be on any tv show let alone Dr Who! I think Davies was just having a joke and the media have gotten too excited yet again. The James Bond movies and Dr Who have had more lies said about them than I've had hot dinners!!!! Actually, I seem to remember that Prince Charles was actually disappointed not to be asked to play himself in a Goodies episode. Must check the archives on this one though. Posted by:zaphod

Yes and Rolf Harris in his memoirs said he was upset he wasn't asked to be in the Goodies ep that lampooned him so merclessly. He would have been great in it too!!! It'd be great if the next Goodies dvd has the ep that had Jon Pertwee in it - he was great in that one. Posted by:axelf
