Doctor Who's successor is a sign of total regression in ABC program planning!!!!!! Posted by:

I don't mind New Tricks (they'd have to follow Who with something!), but I'm disappointed they won't be repeating series one. Posted by:Martin

Good point - I wonder why they won't be repeating it? Posted by:

They tell me they no longer have the rights; UKTV screens it from tomorrow! Posted by:Martin

This is ridiculous - how on Earth can the ABC no longer have the rights? How can they lose the contract that soon? Posted by:

Ok--they purchased the series with repeat rights last year. These had a limited window to be used within, for the reason which has become apparent--they wanted to sell the show to UKTV. I assume ABC looked at the ratings vs schedule and decided to let them lapse. Posted by:Martin
