The BBC have announced a Doctor Who spin off, Torchwood.
Currently the BBC Doctor Whosite has the title Torchwood in a 2005 style Who logo, with the text "Summer 2006: starring John Barrowman: created by Russell T Davis. This new show is rumored to be in the same 13 episode format as the latest series of Who, but more adult oriented.
Other media have pointed out the title is an anagram of Doctor Who.
Barrowman was previously noted as not appearing in the second new series, and presumably will instead be playing Captain Jack Harkness.
The previous Doctor Who spin off, K9 and Company, was not regarded as a success. Its stars (Elizabeth Sladen and K9) are to appear in the next season of Who.
Comments
Mr. Charisma (Barrowman) has his own show.
Yuk.
I'm not interested.
