The UK run of Doctor Who has seen its dominance of the ratings end.
The ITV variety show Doctor Who has beaten for the last three weeks has succeeded in out rating Doctor Who. Preliminary figures show Doctor Who: Aliens of London had 6.98 million viewers overall (33.9% share of possible audience), and the opposition had 7.12 million (35.5%).
This was the series final of the variety show, and its ratings win would appear to not be significant.
