The Canadian ratings for the April 5th premiere of Doctor Who show the new version is an international success.
The CBC Doctor Who page in turn quotes the North American Doctor Who Information Network for the premiere's rating figures. They quote a figure of 986 000, which is described as "excellent", although it is noted this was the second highest rating program for its 20:00--21:00 slot.
In the UK, now up to episode three, Doctor Who continues to win in the ratings by large margin.
