If The Wiggles are the Beatles and Hi-5 is the monkees who are the Rolling Stones. Now that would be an interesting show especially with the Hells Angles doing security.

I suspect part of the reason why there are so many Australian kids tv produced these days is that the networks need to fulfil a certain 'Australian Drama Content' quota.
I realise that certain kids tv shows don't really fall into that category, but look at Comedy Inc on CH 9 - that's classed as 'drama content', which I find totally bizarre.

There's also a "P" or pre-school quota, which is supposed to be commercial free for a half hour. Strangely ABC's never had any trouble with this...!
I'll bring Gimmie Shelter to the next meeting, you can laugh that off.

There's probably less successful Wiggle knockoffs in the US, same as they are here, but now they can replace themselves and start Spanish/Taiwanese franchises we'll probably never hear the end of them. Sadly the much more talented Hooley Dooleys have lost a member, and seem to be becoming second class Wiggles themselves--the Wiggles used to play Hooley Dooley material, but you'd never get the Hooley Dooleys or anyone else playing Wiggles songs...
