Not a bad premise, but not exactly done well on the screen. The kid who played anakin skywalker (Hayden Christensen) in the star wars movies (episode 2 & 3) is a waste of space in this movie. They could have got some one better, even an unknown could have made this character seem better. Samuel Jackson played in understated, but well. The idea of a jumper society seems interesting but they never delved into it. They seemed to tell more information of the Paladin group who wish to kill all the jumpers, but it was brief. This makes me thinks they left it open for a sequel. Hopefully not with Hayden Christensen. See it if you like the premise of the idea of jumping (or teleporting as Hayden Christensen's charater called it to keep the simple yanks from getting confused. |

Jumper was a terrible film, a total shocker.
It ripped off bits from The Tomorrow People, Sliders, etc - with not one wit of originality.
Hayden Christensen was awful....he can be a good actor, but he was terrible in this.
The only person in it who was any good was Jamie Bell - he seemed more suited to the carry on.
Of course the film is No. 1 at the American box office - doesn't say much at all really. |

I'm not interested in seeing it myself, film reviewers David and Margaret gave it half a star each "grudgingly". And David said making a film without plot or characters was an achievement, let alone the "worst hair piece in history". |

Wouldn't you know it.....since it was a hit at the box office, there will be a sequel now.
Ive just seen another film with no plot and little substance - Rambo.
Stallone's acting in that one makes Hayden Christensen look like Laurence Olivier!! |

It was dismal.
Bad acting, directing, shooting, scripting and lots of other things ending in 'ing. |
