I see they are remaking this classic, but Harryhousan is against it. This may mean they are going to do a 300, completly on blue screen.

I'm old enough to remember seeing Clash of the Titans when it came out in 1980.

It's not the special effects that are important it's the story and creativity behind the film.

I'm fed up with Hollywood re-making films these days - have they done away with imagination and originality now??

They invented a scheme whereby their accountants could sell future earnings against imagination, meaning the less thought they put into features the lower the return leading to significant tax returns.
So you can see that remakes are perfect for this.

It is that way, I've seen the producers, you make more money cashing in the insurance you got for the movie being a failure than you would earning money as you would have to pay people instead of filing bankrupty (chapter 3) and taking the insurance cheque home.
