A Christmas day decision has seen Fox granted distribution rights over Warner's version of Watchmen. Already having been in development hell for twenty years, the film is now further away from release than ever.
I can wait, if it doesn't get distributed for another twenty years, so be it.

I can see the premiere ... the celebrities, the VIPs ... the film starts then the theater goes dark ... and a man who looks like Rasputin drops the projector power plug, and runs off into the night.

Don't think so; the rights were sold long ago.

If Watchmen does actually come to the big screen, and makes it Adelaide then I reckon that it will have one Wednesday mid morning screening at either Marion or Arndale.
Have you seen the movie listing for this week, crap crap and more crap with the good stuff relegated to some hick back water theatre at a time that only elizabethans can go see it cause the rest of the interested population is at work.

It'll be here soon enough. It might even be as good as League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, be still my beating heart.

Its getting a god push. if its starts to get anymore then start to worry. The bigger the push the worst the studio thinks of the film.

Sam Hamm.
They rejected a script from the man who inflicted the near-terminal body blow on Batman twenty years ago.
The fact that they even considered him is too much to take in all at once.
This purports to be his draft--check it out.
