I think that with Richard E. Grant announced "Officially" as the 9th Doctor for the BBCi animated episode "Scream of the Shalka", they would be silly to cast anyone else! Apart from being a big name, I'm sure he'd be quite good! I don't think, to be honest, Paul McGann got any say in the matter, as his contract had lapsed a while ago I believe. |

George just sent a message saying that "Eddie Izzard could be the next who". what do people think of that?
I think it would be a pretty good choice for the doctor, just think of all the costume changes. insted of the scarf you could have a long featherd boa.

I think Jamie Stidiford should play the Doctor in the new series - I mean, his portrayal of Companion Big Ron in the classic "The Blue Death" was astounding - and the precedent with Colin Baker first appearing in "Arc of Infinity" before he was cast as the Doctor is a sure sign that he (Jamie) is being considered for the role. I believe, however, that his contract stipulates that Melanie Caddy must return as the Rani, in the role she made her own. Who knows? |

Don't forget that Lalla Ward played Princess Astra in the Key to time series before becoming Romana 2

Hmmm, interesting idea, but can we really believe that Matt has spiders in his recent ancestry?

I hear actor Christopher Eccleston is tipped to play the Doctor I just saw him in 28 Days Later and I think he would be a good choice. But in The unday Mail they said that Bill Nighy would have the part. |

I'm gonna have nightmares with Chris playing the Doc, I shall keep expecting him to pop out of the TARDIS with a gun. |
