What is your opinion and hopes for the new Doctor?

I have seen Peter Capaldi in many Doctor Who roles and I like what I saw.
I am looking forward to see how he portrays the Doctor.
He is the first Actor that I recognized before he started the role since Jon Pertwee.
Matt Smith was okay, but I did not feel attached to his portrayal.

I am looking forward to a change, change is a important part of Doctor Who  . I hope the new guy is good. Also I am use to Matt Smith as the Doctor now but i do think he could be better. I am also looking forward to the Doctor Who special in November 

I knew Tennant from Foyle's War, Christopher Eccleston from Existenz and Colin Baker was in Arc of Infinity.

I've seen Capaldi in any number of things, but his stand out performances were in an episode of The Comic Strip Presents called Jealousy, and a comedy called Mr Wakefield's Crusade.
